You can’t turn around without hitting an opportunity to hear music outdoors for free — and considering the short season, the time to enjoy it is right now.
Holden Arboretum in Lake County has a free concert into gardens at 6:30 pm every Tuesday through August 27. You can bring a blanket or a chair and a picnic basket. There’ll be beverages, including wine and beer for sale there. After 5:30 there’s no charge for admission to the facility.
This week, Upriver, a Celtic/bluegrass/Appalachian folk duo, provides the music. Musicians Dan Moorfield and Teresa Morrison, based in Wayne County, play both traditional and original tunes.
Blues, Latin jazz, and classical music are on tap for upcoming weeks.find the full schedule here.
