Sax player Maurice Reedus Jr., son of the late Robert Lockwood Jr’s sax player Maurce Reedus Sr., is known to Clevelanders primarily from playing outside downtown events for nearly two decades.
He became better known earlier this year when the tickets he kept getting for his street serenade made the news. Now he’s threatening to take his talents to South Beach.
He’ll become even better known after the completion of the documentary The Sax Man, currently being put together by a team of local filmmakers, following a successful Kickstarter campaign last year.
As part of the documentary, they’ll be filming a performance at the House of Blues. It will include a sentimental reunion with Sly, Slick and Wicked, an obscure, Cleveland-based ’70s soul band that Reedus once played with.
You can be part of this one-time only, sure-to-become-legendary event for only $12 admission.
