Local punk-influenced rockers This Moment in Black History will play their first show this year — but not in an area club.
Instead, they’ll be headlining a four-band party at the Miller-Schneider Gallery on Waterloo Road Friday.
The atttitude-laden quartet, whose rackety but smart music has earned critical kudos, will be joined by Royal Blood, Bad Noids, and True Story. Admission is $5.
Then on Sunday, folk/goth band Morticia’s Chair , whose music is drenched in lavishly melodic morbidity, and Blacklight Betty, a blues-rock trio with a retro feel, will close the current gallery show of work by Bob Peck.
Both shows are BYO; the gallery is promising to fire up the grill in its spacious outdoor courtyard.
