Canadian Roots-Rock Band Ollie Vee at Yorktown Lanes

Sat 8/31 @ 9PM

The Yorktown Lanes’ Inferno Lounge presents free live music every Saturday from 9pm-12:30am with a variety of bands — heavy on classic rock and rockabilly.

It will really be hopping this week when it welcomes a band from a small southern Ontario town called Seagrave — Ollie Vee.

The quartet has a dedication to ’50s rock that goes beyond mere rockabilly to the roots that produced ’50s rock ’n’ roll: honky-tonk country, swing, early R&B. Thye work to put them together in a way that reinvents the sounds and aura of the era.

They’ll be at the Yorktown on the heels of their debut album, Lonesome Girl, which came out in July. Steve Trent opens.

As we already mentioned, you can’t beat the price: free.
