Cleveland’s saxophone godfather, Cleveland Arts Prize winner Ernie Krivda, is heading to the Chicago Jazz Festival with his All Star Quartet, featuring pianist Lafayette Carthon, acoustic bassist Jeff Halsey and drummer Renell Gonsalves. They’ll play there Saturday afternoon, August 31 at the Von Freeman Pavilion in downtown’s Grant Park.
Can’t make it? The ensemble will be playing a hit-the-road-jack show at Nighttown.
