Silversun Pickups’ bio describes their fourth and latest album, last year’s Neck of the Woods, as “full-on IMAX rock ’n’ roll, in stereoscopic 3D and Sensurround.”
The Los Angeles quartet — singer/guitarist Brian Aubert, bassist/backing vocalist Nikki Monninger, keyboardist Joe Lester, and drummer Christopher Guanloa — has been compared to other artists with a billowing, epic scope to their sound and disjointed, almost hallucinatory lyrics, such as Smashing Pumpkins. And there’s a strong touch of U2 in the tune “Dots and Dashes (Enough Already)” from Neck.
Silversun Pickups will perform at the Agora.
