Sterle’s Country House has two beautiful new murals on its exterior. To celebrate, they’re having a reception this Thursday for the local artist – Laurel Herbold.
Laurel Herbold graduated from Bowling Green in 1993 – majoring in Painting and Graphic Design. She is a freelance artist specializing in custom artwork, including floor and mural painting. Herbold often teams up with local designers and architects to design site-specific works for residential and public spaces. Herbold describes her unique approach to her work:
“I think that I differ from many artists in that I feel I am here to serve the people around me and to share my skills with them by helping to make their wishes a reality. I thoroughly enjoy doing custom artwork, murals, etc. for my clients. The joy of knowing that I’ve satisfied their needs and made a friend in the process is quite fulfilling. I love socializing and getting to know new people. This type of work really fills a void in a career that can otherwise be quite solitary.”
The event is FREE and open to the public. Sterle’s appetizers will be served; cash bar.
