VIDEO: Sneak Peek of Owls, Hawks & a Bald Eagle at CMNH: With Beer!

 

Cool Cleveland got a rare peek at the Armington Raptor Center hidden inside the Perkins Wildlife Center and Woods Garden at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History.

Harvey Webster, Director of Wildlife Resources is getting ready for Birds, Beasts, Brats and Beer on Thu 8/22, which is the only time during the year when the public is able to grab a Great Lakes beer and a brat and get up close and personal during the event’s Animal Encounter.

Representing Ohio wildlife that has been injured and cannot be returned to the wild, these native birds are now used for educational purposes.

Watch along and meet George the Bald Eagle, Omega the one-eyed Eastern Screech Owl, Sweeney the Red-Tailed Hawk, Vinnie the Turkey Vulture, a matched pair of Barred Owls, Beaker and Archie, who is 38 years old, possibly the oldest Barred Owl known.View the video here.
