Since 1990, the Cleveland Museum of Art has held its annual Chalk Festival inviting children and adults to join professional artists in turning the walkways around the Fine Arts Garden into a huge, colorful canvas. The tradition dates back to 16th-century Italy – where poor people would copy paintings using chalk on the plazas outside cathedrals
Entertainment includes Blues DeVille Band on Saturday and Moko Bovo on Sunday. This event is FREE to watch and enjoy. Rain or Shine. Anyone can participate – small squares (2ft x 3ft and a 12-color box of chalk) are $8 and large squares (3ft x 4ft and a 24-color box of chalk) are $16.
