Dehydrate that food! Join LEAF (Lakewood Earth & Food Community) for a new workshop on dehydrated food at the Lakewood High School in room A226. Hosted by Diane from Cleveland’s Maggie’s Farm, this free and intellectual seminar will teach attendees all about the reasons behind dehydrating food, what to dehydrate, how to store dehydrated items, and how to have fun with dehydration — like making nutritious fruit rolls.
Maggie’s Farm is a farm based in the Stockyards neighborhood of Cleveland. All of the produce from the farm is produced without using chemicals or pesticides. The produce grown from the farm is also available at a farm stand along with other local produces like cheese, preserves, fresh baked goods and more. Attend the dehydration event, learn a thing or two about the process, and come back for more information on the farm itself.
