This Friday, Valley Art Center in Chagrin Falls presents an exhibition of original photography. Photographers take center stage this fall at the Valley Art Center’s Margaret “Peg” Bowen Gallery with Exposures: Unaltered Images guest curated by Bill Pappas.
The concept of this exhibition is to present photographs which have been enhanced to the extent that traditional darkroom techniques would have allowed: (i.e. white balance, color, exposure, contrast, saturation, sharpening, dodge and burn, cropping and sizing and conversion to black & white or sepia) without substantially altering the original image. Simply stated: Using current tools to achieve what was previously achieved in the darkroom… but no more.
The show and opening reception are FREE and open to the public.
