Connecticut’s entertaining quartet Caravan of Thieves describes itself as a “gypsy swing” band.
But the band’s kaleidoscope of musical influences, presented in a flamboyant and interactive show, have found them fans in many different scenes. They’ve toured with artists as diverse as Iron and Wine, the Punch Brothers, Keb Mo, and Dan Hicks.
The group grew up about five years ago around husband-and-wife vocalist/guitarists Fuzz and Carrie Sangiovanni, who augmented their core sound with Ben Dean on violin and Brian Anderson on bass.
Their high-energy performances have found them a fan base at their Cleveland home, the Winchester, where they’ll be back this week.
