Latest Turovsky Mural Installed at Beck Center

You’ve got to see it to believe it. A huge peacock leads a parade of bizarre, surreal figures right off Detroit Avenue into the Beck Center’s front door. “The Procession” by Montreal artist Natasha Turovsky is is theĀ 4th mural in a series installed by gallerist and art dealer Paul Sykes on the walls of the West Side’s largest arts complex. And things have just gotten exponentially more interesting. The latest mural was installed on Sat 9/28.

The series is now known as The Natasha Turovsky Outdoor Wall Museum, the first of its kind as a permanent outdoor museum featuring mural paintings. The work that was in this location prior, called “The Marathon,” has been moved to the back of the Beck Center facing a brand new paved parking lot. They are joined by “The Beck Stage” and “The Night At The Opera” on the walls of the arts complex, available for viewing free to the public at any time.

Coordinated with the 80th anniversary. Fri 10/11 is opening for a new exhibition “The Procession,” inside the Beck Center and the new coffeeproper. She’ll return on Sat 10/19 for the 80th anniversary of the Beck Center. In the interim, her work will be installed in four other venues throughout the region.
