A Heartwarming Neighborhood
Peninsula is a small community in which everyone relies on one another. You go into a shop or business and you’re likely to find something in it from at least one other shop in the village. Everyone knows everyone else and they always have kind words to say about each other. The support between businesses is heartwarming.
Almost every business here is independently owned and operated. Filled with more talented people than can be counted, this place is brimming with art and culture. The best thing about their creative culture? They aren’t stingy about it and are willing to share their knowledge and expertise.
Another great thing about Peninsula is that everyone is proud of their home and has extensive knowledge regarding its history. From hearing about the village’s risqué past to learning how the tow path changed Peninsula for the best, one could sit for hours and listen to the stories the locals have to tell about how Peninsula got to be just how it is today.
For those who love the great outdoors, Cuyahoga Valley National Park cannot be missed. It’s a bit too well-known to make our list of “off the beaten path” places, but seriously – go. Brimming with the beauty of nature and countless events anytime of year, the park is truly an adventurer’s paradise.
