One Response to “VIDEO: Lee Fisher Gathers CEOs For Cities in Grand Rapids”

  1. I was born and raised in Cleveland but now live in Grand Rapids (I was selected to be that city first Poet Laureate from 2003-05), so I was particularly interested in this video clip. I really admire Cool Cleveland and the vision of people like Lee Fisher who are helping cities reinvent themselves. And speaking of Grand Rapids, even though ArtPrize is a neat event it is not without its flaws. The major problem is how long the event lasts–about three weeks. That’s way too long in my opinion. Many other organizations have had to reschedule events because ArtPrize seems to monopolize all the publicity in town for that time. If Cleveland and the other cities are thinking of doing something similar, don’t follow ArtPrize’s blueprint insofar as the timeframe goes. Two weeks–or even one week–is plenty. With that said, Cleveland still holds a special place in my heart. GO TRIBE!!!
