Austin’s Folk-Pop Wild Child Back in Cleveland at the Grog Shop

Wed 10/23 @ 8:30pm

Austin, Texas’ Wild Child came through Cleveland this summer with two other Ausin bands on the Outside City Limits tour. It was part of Bad Racket recording’s summer concert series.

The six-member ensemble is heading back to town to the Grog Shop to piggyback on any good will that set earned them.

Their music mixes classical instruments like cello and violin with folk instruments like ukulele and banjo, and features strong vocal harmonies.

Their first album Pillow Talk was released in 2011.  The full band, which grew up around the founding songwriting team of Alexander Beggins and Kelsey Wilson, just released The Runaround, which represents their more textured and fleshed-out current sound.

Akron’s luscious roots-folk trio Shivering Timbers is also on the Grog Shop bill, along with Cleveland’s Dolfish.

Tickets are $10.
