Cleveland-based newgrass trio Honeybucket says they formed on Halloween 2011.
So when they play at Nighttown on October 31, they’ll be celebrating their second anniversary. The band’s been busy honing their live show playing all over town, including events like the Burning River Festival and the North Union Farmers Market’s Garlic Festival.
Their anniversary is not the only thing they’ll be celebrating.
They’ll also be officially releasing their first CD. With Adam Rzeifsnyder on acoustic guitar, Abie Klein-Stefanchik on acoustic bass, and Brenda OMalley on mandolin and all three on vocals, the band manages to kick up a ruckus, lay down a strong beat, and get a lot of energy flowing even without benefit of drums and electric instruments.
Tickets are $10.
