Cleveland Heights held its first of hopefully many Heights Music Hops, with jazz combos, rock bands, and singer-songwriters performing at bars, restaurants, art galleries and other venues up and down Lee Road near Cedar.
The perfect fall weather brought out hordes of people of all ages to listen to artists like folkie Charlie Mosbrook playing at Hessler on the Arts arts & crafts boutique, the Mark Gridley Trio jazz ensemble performing at Mitchell’s Chocolates, and hot rockers Seafair packing them in at an after-hours Phoenix Coffee with the chairs pushed back to accomodate the crow∂.
Barbara and Company brought soul to the Wine Bar. The Spyder Stompers performed their old-time Americana at the Stone Oven, followed by young rock trio These Knees. And retro folk/pop duo Eve N Stephen did their thing in a tent set up outside Sweetie Fry.
