Today’s the culmination of the week’s worth of activities that comprise the Rock Hall’s annual Music Master series, devoted this year to the Rolling Stones.
The big event is the gala concert at PlayhouseSquare’s State Theatre.
The jam-packed lineup includes Ian McLagan, Sugar Blue, Merry Clayton, Chuck D of NWA, Sarah Dash, Lee Fields, Bernard Fowler, Drive By Trucks Patterson Hood, Steve Jordan, Bobby Keys, Trevor Lawrence, Nils Lofgren, Steve Madaio, Ian McLagan, Dave Pirner of Soul Asylum, Earl Slick, Waddy Wachtel, Willie Weeks, and Cyril Jordan and Chris Wilson of the Flamin’ Groovies.
But the music will be focused on the Stones’ 50-year career.
Tickets are $30-$80. Hurry before they’re all gone.
Earlier in the day, from 10:30-3:30, the annual Music Masters conference takes place at the Rock Hall.
It’ll include interviews with Stones sideman Sugar Blue and backup singer Merry Clayton, talks by authors of two books on the Stones, and a screening of the new movie Charlie Is My Darling. It’s $25, which includes a $10 lunch voucher and admission to the museum.
