Rock Hall Music Masters Series Pays Tribute to the Rolling Stones

Tue 10/22 @ 7PM

Perceptive observers may have noticed that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum’s annual weeklong American Music Masters series has become just the Music Master series for its 18th year.

And they may have guessed it’s because this year the event, which honors a different Rock Hall inductee each year, pays tribute to the 50-year legacy of the Rolling Stones. They certainly were influenced by American music, especially the blues, but they themselves are clearly not American.

The choice of the Stones dovetails with the current exhibit at the Rock Hall, The Rolling Stones: 50 Years of Satisfaction, giving Stones fans a double reason to come to town.

The week begins Tue 10/22 @ 7PM with a talk by Bill Janovitz, author of Rocks Off:  50 Tracks That Tell the Story of the Rolling Stones, taking place at the Tommy LiPuma Center for Creative Arts Black Box Theater at Cuyahoga Community College.

It concludes Sat 10/26 @ 7:30PM with the annual gala tribute concert at Playhouse Square.

In between there are films, lectures, interviews, and the annual conference on Sat 10/26.
