The Shining Music Festival Features Top Local Bands at Ohio City’s Masonic Temple

Sat 10/26 @ 7PM

The name of the Shining Music Festival is clearly intended to tie into Halloween. And you are invited to wear costumes to the event, taking place at the Masonic Temple in Ohio City.

But there’s nothing especially spooky about the bands on the bill, which is topped by three of the area’s more accessible bands whose wide appeal is shown in the crowds they’re starting to draw.

Welshly Arms’ music is underpinned by classic rock, while the Modern Electric’s “cinematic pop” is dominated by Garrett Komyati’s keyboards and theatrical vocals.  And Seafair, which features keyboards, electric cello, and violin, in addition to guitar/bass/drums, is winning fans rapidly with its sweeping, symphonic sound.

They’ll be joined by electronic duo Silent Lions from Toledo, soulful Youngstown singer/songwriter Sam Goodwill, and a Cleveland trio called Simpler Times.

Whether you celebrate Halloween or not, this should be a great evening of music.

Plus its “official” food truck, Jibaro, will be selling Caribbean/Latin/Spanish fusion food.

Tickets are $15.
