It’s time for a return visit from Cincinnati’s Wussy, who’ve become at least twice-a-year regulars in northeast Ohio. (They played at the Kent Stage in February).
Fronted by a pair of singer/songwriter/guitarists — Lisa Walker and Chuck Cleaver — they’ve been making consistent quality music since 2001. Their five albums are filled with bright, poppy tunes with a strong whiff of Americana flavor. That’s likely been enhanced by the addition last year of pedal steel player John Erhardt —Cleaver’s bandmate in his unjustly obscure ’90s band the Ass Ponys.
They’ll be at the Beachland Tavern with fellow Cincinnatians the Ready Stance and Cleveland’s Lawton Brother.
Tickets are $10.
