Taking a break from its parade of obscure punk, post-punk, noise, and fringe metal bands from around the country and overseas, Now That’s Class is offering a two-fer evening of classic Cleveland metal played by the current generation of such bands.
Three-quarters of Eternal Legacy (pictured) is from Parma, and you know what that means: they know how to bring the metal. The quartet’s just straightahead heavy music, influenced by bands like Metallica and Iron Maiden.
They’ve been around for over 10 years, with an EP and three albums under their belts, including last year’s Seeking No Peace.
Lick the Blade formed just a couple of years after Eternal Legacy, following in their footsteps of playing powerful metal without frills. They soon signed with Medina-based Auburn Records, which released their debut Graveyard of Empires, in 2009 and sent them to Germany’s legendary Headbanger’s Open Air festival. They’ve just released their new album, The Sun and Time, recorded at guitarist Neil Zaza’s Akron studio.
