Things are always jolly and merry and stuff like that with the Cleveland Pops Orchestra and its jovial red-clarinet-playing founder/music director Carl Topilow, even when it’s not the holidays.
But more so when it is.
The Cleveland Pops Orchestra and the Cleveland Pops Chorus will be joined by pianist-entertainer Rich Ridenour, whose sensibility matches their own, in a program of familiar seasonal music
It’s super family-friendly too. Kids will be able to have their photo taken with Santa and the Bruegger’s Bagel Mascot and learn about instruments at the Instrument Petting Zoo.
But parents — be warned! Clarinets and trumpets won’t be the only thing available for petting. Animal shelters will be bringing adoptable cats and dogs. Uh-oh. You probably weren’t counting on bringing a new kitten home!
They’ll be in the lobby of the Palace Theatre, along with all the other activities, an hour before showtime.
Tickets are $10-$35.
