Last week, Democratic candidate for governor Ed FitzGerald announced his pick for lieutenant governor. He tapped state senator Eric Kearney of Cincinnati to complete a ticket of statewide candidates that now includes three candidates from the Cincinnati area, two from greater Cleveland, and one from Columbus.
FitzGerald and Kearney embarked on a two-day barnstorming tour of the state, meeting activists and leaders in every major city in Ohio. They stopped at Cleveland’s Laborers Hall Friday, where they were introduced by Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur and joined on stage by secretary of state candidate Nina Turner of Cleveland, currently a fellow state senator of Kearney’s.
