@TrinityCleve Brown Bag Concert Celebrates Composer Britten’s Centennial

Wed 11/20 @ 12PM

Trinity Cathedral is celebrating the centennial of the birth of British composer Benjamin Britten, who died in 1976. It’s gearing up for a gala concert of his work on November 22.

In the meantime, it will whet listeners’ appetites with a mini Britten showcase at this week’s Brown Bag concert.

Baldwin Wallace conservatory professor of voice, tenor J.R. Fralick, who has sung with Lyric Opera Cleveland; countertenor John McElliott, whose resume includes Quire Cleveland, Apollo’s Fire and Church of the Covenant;  and Trinity’s director of music, pianist Todd Wilson, will perform three Britten Canticles, including Abraham and Isaac.

The lunchtime concert is free. You can bring your lunch or buy one there for $5.
