It’s the season when bands and clubs think about doing nice things for others.
A group of (mostly) Akron musicians and visual artists will be convening at Musica for “Artists for Akron,” with proceeds benefiting Akron Children’s Hospital.
The lineup includes salsa/timba/Latin jazz band AHI-NAME, bluesy rock trio Dave Hammer’s Power Supply (pictured), prog rockers Hayden Calling, the folkie Tall Tales of Akron, which also features guitarist Dave Hammer, and one ringer — Athens, Ohio-based “orchestral folk rock” duo the Ridges.
Admission is $10. An art auction and raffles of donations from area business will offer more opportunities to donate.
