@CuyArtsC to invest $13,700,000 in grants in 57 arts & culture orgs

Good news for some local arts organizations: Cuyahoga Arts & Culture (CAC) recently announced it will invest $13,700,000 in grants in 57 established arts and culture organizations in Cuyahoga County next year through its 2014 General Operating Support grant program. These grants, which are offered every two years in a highly competitive process, provide unrestricted, multi-year support.

“Multi-year General Operating Support grants strengthen our community by providing critical support to Cuyahoga County’s arts and cultural organizations,” said Karen Gahl-Mills, executive director of Cuyahoga Arts & Culture.  “These investments play a key role in keeping Cuyahoga County’s great cultural institutions available and accessible to all in our community.”

Grant recipients include Beck Center for the Arts, Cleveland Institute of Music, Cleveland Choral Arts Association (North Coast Men’s Chorus), Cleveland Museum of Natural History, Cleveland Play House, Karamu House, LAND studio, Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage, Near West Theatre, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, Young Audiences of Northeast Ohio(Center for Arts-Inspired Learning), Zygote Press and many others.
