Ohio City Singers to Record Live Album at Roc Bar, Roast Chestnuts at Stone Mad Pub

Sun 12/22 @ 5PM

It’s high season for the Ohio City Singers, that seasonal holiday band led by Cleveland singer-songwriter Chris Allen.

With a new album, A Town Called Christmas, out this year, featuring their original holiday songs, and Christmas coming fast down the pike, the band has a busy weekend lined up.

Saturday night it’ll be down in the Flats at Roc Bar for the Ohio City Singers Christmas Pageant. DJ Clint Holley will spin tunes at 8 pm before the band takes the stage at 9. They’ll be recording the show for a live album, and the drink menu with include Ohio City Singers’ own winter ale, Snow Days, named after their last album.

Tickets are $10, which includes free parking.

Then on Sunday, the band moves its caroling act over to the Gordon Square area where it’ll be part of Stone Mad Pub’s annual Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire party.

Since Stone Mad has two fireplaces, roasting chestnuts is a natural. With Ohio City Singers leading the caroling and horse-drawn carriage rides all night, you can close your eyes and imagine you’re in a scene from a particularly sentimental Christmas card. Hopefully there’s be snow to enhance the setting.
