Two of Cleveland’s busiest and most talented singer-songwriters are trying out something new.
Matt Harmon and Charlie Mosbrook are kicking off what will hopefully become a regular series of singer-songwriter showcases in the Ensemble Theatre space in the former Coventry School just off Cleveland Heights’ Coventry Road. It’s a natural, since both are Cleveland Heights natives.
Also, Harmon’s on the Ensemble Theatre board. It’s his hope to bring the theater and music communities together via such showcases, giving songwriters the opportunity to play on a stage with professional lighting to an attentive audience. Both musicians write well-crafted, reflective songs that reward careful listening. And Harmon’s hoping that after seeing the space, music fans might come back to see a show.
The evening will start with a reception and refreshments at 6:30 before the duo takes the stage.
There’s no admission; any donations will go the Ensemble.
