Cleveland-based Sweet Truth Records is promoting its second annual Sweet Truth Fest at the House of Blues. And what a lineup they’ve put together. The fest gathers together a batch of the best northeast Ohio singer-songwriter-musicians in one place on one evening with six area acts and one ringer — the Brian Douglas/Erica Blinn duo are from Columbus.
Dan Miraldi, performing with his band the Albino Winos (pictured), Brent Kirby, Rob Duskey, Jason Patrick Meyers, and the Hedgehog’s Dilemma have all earned their stripes, showcasing their considerable songwriting and performing chops extensively around the area. Ray Flanagan & the Authorities out of Medina are relatively new on the scene with their soulful, progressive-leaning rock.
The general vibe of the evening will be rootsy rock and folk with each artist bringing a slightly different flavor. Expect memorable songs to be show’s hook.
It’s a generous bounty of local talent for only a $10 admission.
