Cle Singer-Songwriter Charlie Mosbrook Celebrates His Birthday @BrkngSpider

Tue 2/11 @ 8PM

You don’t really need an excuse to go catch Charlie Mosbrook, one of the area’s most dedicated and talented acoustic singer-songwriters when he makes one of his regular appearances at the Barking Spider Tavern on the Case Western Reserve campus.

But here’s one anyway: he’s playing on his birthday.

Charlie’s been a leading figure in the Cleveland’s acoustic scene for 25 years, performing, hosting open mics to encourage other singer-songwriters, and releasing ten albums including last year’s impressive Something to Believe.

“This is my favorite way to spend my birthday,” he says. “A night at the spider with all of my friends, my guitar, and a few beers. Come out and join me as I celebrate another go around the sun.”

The Spider is a cozy, laidback place to spend a Tuesday night, listening to some original tunes so well-crafted they’ll feel like old friends right away. And Charlie’s playing early so you won’t get to bed late.

It’s always free at the Barking Spider; they pass a hat for the musicians. If you feel like giving Charlie a birthday tip, well, that’s your business.
