German guitarist Michael Schenker, who first became known for playing with Scorpions and UFO in the ’70s, may be as well known for his erratic and unreliable behavior as for his scorching guitar playing.
By the end of that decade, he’d formed a group bearing his own name and dazzled audiences with his instrumental pyrotechnics even while pissing off band members right and left.
Despite — or maybe because of — a career path littered with canceled gigs and tours, guitar freaks and heavy metal fans eagerly await the appearance of the Michael Schenker Group at the Agora Ballroom.
