Local hip-hop/electronica experimentalists Ghost Noises and Smoke Screen each have their own thing going on. Each records for Cleveland-based Alloy-X, which specializes in this type of music.
Ghost Noises (pictured), whose music the label’s website describes as “irreverent and explosive shit-talk splattered atop psychedelic beats,” released his album Psychedelics last year.
Smoke Screen, the duo of Chemist and Mook, have been kicking around for more than six years, releasing five albums, doing some touring, and collaborating with other artists, including yet another Alloy-X artist, Urbindex, on an EP Turquoise.
Now Smoke Screen and Ghost Noises are working on a collaboration they’re calling Smoke Noises. They’re working on an album to drop some time this year.
Meanwhile you can preview what they’re working on when Smoke Noises performs at the Grog Shop. Do$e Money and DJ Corey Grand open.
Admission is $8.
