It’s become a big annual wingding since local reggae promoter/DJ/cheerleader Packy Malley (the guy behind the Midwest Reggae Fest) started throwing his Capricorn Parties back in college in the 80s. Now he rents out the House of Blues and throws the party to celebrate those who, like himself, were born under the sign of the ram. And anyone else who wants to come, of course.
Like last year, the entertainment is Terry Lee Goffee, who has built his musical career around his impersonation of sonorous-voiced country music legend and 1992 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Johnny Cash.
The party starts late, with doors at 10:30PM, after the evening’s High School Rock Off semis wind up.
Admission is $10 in advance, $12 at the door.
