Cleveland chamber ensemble Les Délices, which specializes in French Baroque music, is billing their show this week as part of their “midwest tour,” which will take them to Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
For the opening date, they’re only going as far as Chagrin Falls’ United Methodist Church where they’ll be performing as part of the Chagrin Arts & Culture series.
The program they’re taking on the road is titled Myths & Allegories. It features chamber music inspired by Homer’s Odyssey by composers like Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre, François-André Philidor, Thomas-Louis Bourgeois, Louis-Gabriel Guilleman, Jean-Féry Rebel, and Jean-Philippe Rameau.
Soprano Clara Rottsolk, who was featured on Les Délices’ 2012 recording of the program, will be joining the group for this series.
Tickets are $20-$25. Call 440-247-9700 or go to Chagrin Arts & Culture’s website.
