Veteran Cleveland blues guitarist Gaetano Letizia has a new band with four other musicians who have paid their dues on the local rock and blues scene.
That band, the Underworld Blues Band, features Bobby Huszar (who also performs with prog-leaning rockers the Krypton Monkeys) on lead vocals, guitarist Sam Hooper, bassist Larry Keller, and drummer Mike D’Elia.
Specializing in blues and funk, the group offers classic material by Muddy Waters, Jimi Hendrix, Robert Johnson and others. But it’s also got its own CD, Voodoo Doll, which it’ll debut at a CD release concert at Rockefeller’s Restaurant in Cleveland Heights.
Admission is $10, which includes a two-hour concert and hors d’oeuvres.
