Maybe you’ve never heard of Toledo-based singer-guitarist Reese Dailey. But if you’ve ever set foot on Put-in-Bay, you’ve surely heard of his dad. It was Pat Dailey who created the “island troubadour” model of the entertainer who mixed sentimentality about beautiful summers on the lake with bawdy songs about lakeside partying.
Reese Dailey isn’t one of the army of performers who copied that model. But he’s inherited some of his dad’s music flair and directed it to a somewhat different place. While Dailey gets the party started with his acoustic guitar and a folk-style show, Reese fronts a four-piece rocking ensemble with a Southern rock flavor, featuring Brian Theiss sharing guitar duties, Alan Smith on drums, and Steve Taylor on bass, all seasoned veteran musicians.
The Reese Dailey Band will perform at Brothers Lounge.
Admission is $5.
