Chardon’s Tom Evanchuck is one of the hot young prospects in the local acoustic singer-songwriter scene.
He’s been working the area clubs for several years now, as a solo artist and with his band Old Money, getting people acquainted with his folk/blues compositions, his finger-picking style of guitar playing, and his old-soul voice. Drawing from artists like Neil Young and Bob Dylan, as well as vintage blues artists, Evanchuck’s been working to craft a timeless sound that draws on American roots music from multiple eras.
He’ll be celebrating his 25th birthday with a gig at the Beachland Tavern, where he’ll be sharing the stage with Rebekah Jean, an Americana-style artist out of rural Burton whose debut album was produced by David Mayfield. Grayson Michalski is also in the bill.
Admission is $8.
