The nonprofit Cleveland Rocks: Past, Present and Future continues its new series of free monthly concerts at the Wine Spot in Cleveland Heights with Maura Rogers & the Bellows.
Rogers has one of those clear, sparkling voices that fills her likable folk-rock tunes with liveliness and warmth. She released a CD of those appealing tunes called A Good Heart Will Break in July 2012 before taking a very short break for medical issues (She had a kidney transplant.).
But the indomitable performer was quickly back on the circuit with her band the Bellows, in which Rogers plays off Meredith Pangrace’s accordion and harmony vocals.
Cellist Shelby Sangdahl opens the evening.
