PHOTOSTREAM: Brite Winter Fest

Sat 2/14

The fifth annual Brite Winter Fest, taking place for the third year around West 25th and Lorain, brought out hordes of people to eat, drink, listen to bands, and huddle around bonfires to fight off the biting cold.

Early on, the atmosphere was more relaxed, as families filled the two main festival areas, enjoying the games and wall of light that extended between those areas. Later on, a young adult crowd poured in, eager to hang out with friends and listen to music on the two big stages and the small stages in various area businesses.

Bands like Cleveland’s Seafair, who played in Market Square Park, drew a mob of their own fans, while elsewhere, fest goers discovered music by bands like New York alt-country rockers the Defibulators and Philly punk band Cruiser, a couple of whom performed shirtless. Here’s hoping they’re not in the hospital with pneumonia this week!
