Arts Renaissance Tremont Marks Bach’s Birthday

Fri 3/21 @ 7PM

Johann Sebastian Bach was born in Germany 329 years ago. The music he composed in his 65 years on earth has outlived him by centuries and will undoubtedly be thrilling people many centuries into the future.

That is certainly something to celebrate, and that’s what Arts Renaissance Cleveland is doing at their Bach Birthday Bash at Pilgrim Congregational Church in Tremont on Fri 3/21.

The Trinity Cathedral Chamber Choir, led by Elizabeth Lenti, will perform an all- Bach program. It include a series of arias and choral sections from his well-known cantatas, and his Double Concerto for Oboe and Violin. The concerto will be performed by the Trinity Chamber Strings, oboist Tamer Edlebi, and violinist Jinjoo Cho.

The program is free; a free-will offering will be taken. The cantatas will also be performed at Trinity Cathedral’s weekly Brownbag Concert Wed 3/19.
