Bluegrass Star Rhonda Vincent @KentStage

Fri 3/21 @ 8PM

Like many bluegrass artists, Missouri native Rhonda Vincent comes from a musical family, and was a child sensation, playing mandolin, guitar, and fiddle and singing with her family’s band, touring and recording before her age was in the double digits.

After an ill-advised detour into mainstream country music in the ’90s, Vincent found success by going back to her roots.  Starting with 2000’s Back Home Again, she re-established her credentials in the bluegrass scene, winning awards and becoming a popular performer at roots music/Americana-oriented festivals. She’s still Missouri-based, and her two daughters are part of yet another generation of musicians.

Vincent and her band the Rage will be at the Kent Stage. Ohio’s own Bluegrass Mountaineers open.

Tickets are $32.50-$37.50.
