Southern California-based singer/songwriter/guitarist Adam Marsland has been making Cleveland a regular stop when he’s on the road since his band Cockeyed Ghost appeared at places like the old Grog Shop in the ’90s. And he’s made friends with area players so he has a place to stay! He even released an album called Hello Cleveland, which he recorded in a marathon session during a short stay here in 2009.
He’s continued to churn out his catchy brand of power pop with lyrics that can be affecting or humorous. These days he usually makes road trips by himself; his last coupl of appearances have been solo shows at the Barking Spider.
This time he’ll bring his bad self to three-year-old collective art gallery Three Door Studios in downtown Oberlin. He’ll be playing with Cleveland’s Charles Hill Jr. who plays stripped-down folk country, and Martin David Tapia.
