Edible Books Festival Returns to Loganberry Books

Sat 4/5 @ 1PM

Booklovers, food lovers, and arts & crafts lovers eagerly await the annual return of the Edible Books Festival, an international movement that started in 2000. Now cities and countries all over the world hold them as close to April 1 as possible. Locallym Loganberry Books on Larchmere Boulevard has been hosting an Edible Books Festival for eleven years.

Creative bakers and chefs dream up “books” made out of edible ingredients, usually some version of bakery, but sometimes incorporating carrots, lettuce leaves, and one year, even tabouli. Guests get to vote on the best in categories such as “most appetizing,” “most creative,” and “most literary.” And after the awards are announced, they get to eat the books. It’s free to enter and $3 to eat.

Set-up starts at noon, viewing and voting begin at 1pm, and awards are announced and eating commences at 2pm.
