Rundgren Bassist Kasim Sulton Solos @BeachlandCle

Sun 3/9 @ 8PM

Bassist Kasim Sulton is best known for his long-time work with Todd Rundgren.

Between that and the fact that he played on Meat Loaf’s breakout Bat Out of Hell album and toured with Mr. Loaf, he’s practically an honorary Clevelander: Rundgren always sold more records in Cleveland than anyplace, and Bat Out of Hell’s success resulted from the belief and tireless work of Cleveland-based Cleveland international Records. He even replaced Cleveland’s Ben Orr when the Cars reunited after Orr’s death as the New Cars. Give this man a key to the city.

While playing with Rundgren (which he still does) and Loaf, as well as Hall & Oates, Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, Joan Jett, and currently Blue Öyster Cult, Sulton’s often stepped out front. He’s also released some solo music.

He’ll have a chance to show his hometown-in-spirit what he can do standing on his own without hs famous friends when he does “An Evening With Kasim Sulton” at the Beachland Ballroom.

Tickets are $18 in advance, $20 day of show.
