Space: ROCK Spotlights Local Music Scene in #ThisIsCLE Music Now

Fri 4/4 @ 6-10PM

To those who love music and are dazzled by the number of outstanding bands and musicians regularly plying their trade in area clubs and concert venues, it’s so aggravating to hear people — especially those with only superficial interest in the local music scene — complain about the lack of good local music or insist there’s nothing but cover bands out there.

Wrong.

The next show at Space: ROCK, the music photography gallery on Waterloo Road, aims to show viewers just how much great music is right under their noses.

Titled @ThisIsCLE Music Now: Who’s Rocking NE Ohio Today, the show will feature photos of three dozen artists — ranging from metal bands to punk rockers to jazz players to acoustic singer/songwriters — along with information about who they are and what they’re doing.

Learn about acts like Seafair, Wesley Bright & the Hi-Lites, Mr. Gnome, Broccoli Samurai, Morgan Mecaskey, Josh Rzepka, Shivering Timbers, Tom Evanchuck, Revolution Brass Band, Signals Midwest, These Knees (pictured), and many more.

If your favorite local band isn’t among the ones on the wall, there’ll be a place where you can write and pin up their name so other people can keep an eye on them.

The show opens during the monthly first Friday Walk All Over Waterloo and will run through the end of May.

It’s free.
