The Boys From the County Hell Do Annual St. Paddy’s Day Marathon

Sat 3/15 @ 9:30PM

Sun 3/16 @ 5PM

Mon 3/17 @ 9AM, 1PM & 9PM

It’s that time of the year when you’re going to see a lot of Cleveland Pogues tribute project the Boys From the County Hell. This side project for a group of the area’s top musicians is now in its 15th St. Patrick’s season of paying homage to the Irish band known for drunken revelry and its songs about drunken revelry.

Led by guitarist/vocalist Doug McKean, the group will spend St. Patrick’s Day rushing frantically around town — setting up, playing, tearing down, and moving on to yet another gig. It would drive anyone to drink.

They’ll actually kick off the long weekend at the Happy Dog on Saturday, where it will dedicate a set to the late co-owner Sean Kilbane, playing a set of his favorite tunes. Then it will move up the street to the Stone Mad Pub for an early show on Sunday.

With its musical chops sufficiently lubricated, it moves on to The Big Day: 9am at the House of Blues, 1 pm at Flannery’s Pub, and 9pm at the Harp.

Admission varies. The Happy Dog show is $10. The House of Blues has free admission all day Monday.
