Woody Pines Bring 78s-Era Music to Ohio City House Concert

Sun 3/23 @ 7PM

Woody Pines is one of those artists, like Leon Redbone or Old Crow Medicine Show, who draws on a treasure trove of old-time pop music — odd little novelties from old 78s that he injects with new life. The musician Woody Pines spent decades on the road, and while he may have picked up no moss, he certainly did pick up an eclectic assortment of musical influences and repertoire.

Woody Pines the band plays what they call “Rag ’N’ Roll,” blending ragtime, rock, blues, and some other stuff in a fun and freewheeling show.

Woody Pines is coming to town as part of the Mechanic Street House Concert series, performed in the intimate setting of an Ohio City living room. While it’s a private, invitation-only event, getting an invitation is as easy as emailing mechanicstreetmusic@yahoo.com to make a reservation. Snacks are provided, and you may bring whatever beverage you’d like.

They request a $15 donation, all of which goes to the artist.
