Bluegrass Band Lonesome Highway at @CVNPConservancy’s Happy Days Lodge

Fri 5/2 @ 8PM

There are a lot of bluegrass-influenced bands around these days that play hybrids rooted in the music or else they play “newgrass” — bluegrass with some distinctly non-traditional elements.

But if you are a bluegrass fan with a hankering for some purity in your music, West Virginia’s Lonesome Highway just might be your cup of tea.

For nearly two decades — since 1996 — the quintet has been hitting the festival and club circuit with their mix of traditional and contemporary bluegrass tunes and originals, with a little gospel thrown in for good measure, displaying the sort of stellar musicianship and thrilling harmony singing the best bluegrass bands are known for.

Lonesome Highway will be playing at the Happy Days Lodge for the Conservancy of Cuyahoga Valley National Park as part of its Heritage Series.

Tickets are $17 for the public, $12 for Conservancy members, $5 ages 3-12.
